CIC Asset Management Unveils Global Balanced Special Fund Targeting Long-Term Capital Growth.

CIC Asset Management (CICAM) has launched the CIC Global Balanced Special Fund, a medium to high-risk, growth-oriented investment vehicle designed to help investors achieve steady capital appreciation through diversified exposure across global markets.

The fund, unveiled as part of CICAM’s expanding suite of wealth management products, invests in a wide range of asset classes including equities, corporate and government bonds, money market instruments, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) across international markets, with a focus on long-term, risk-adjusted returns.

The CIC Global Balanced Special Fund seeks to provide investors with an opportunity to participate in the performance of global financial markets, while benefiting from CICAM’s active portfolio management and disciplined investment approach.

CICAM describes the new product as a “medium/high-risk investment fund”, crafted for investors who can tolerate moderate market volatility and are seeking consistent returns over a longer time horizon. The fund adopts a multi-asset strategy; balancing risk and reward by allocating capital across stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments.

Investors can participate in the CIC Global Balanced Special Fund with a minimum initial investment of USD 1,000. Additional top-ups are allowed from as little as USD 100, with a minimum withdrawal amount of USD 10. The fund charges a management fee of 2.5% per annum and has a six-month lock-in period for initial and top-up investments.

Withdrawals after the initial lock-in can be processed within three business days, offering reasonable liquidity while encouraging investors to maintain a medium-term investment horizon.

One of the fund’s distinguishing features is CICAM’s active asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing strategy. The firm focuses on identifying relative expected returns between asset classes and sectors to optimize performance and manage risk.

The fund’s management team evaluates global macroeconomic trends, currency movements, and sector-specific opportunities to adjust asset weights in response to changing market conditions. This hands-on approach allows the fund to capture upside potential while protecting investors from extreme volatility.

According to CICAM, the Global Balanced Special Fund is suitable for investors with a medium to long-term investment horizon who seek growth over capital preservation. It targets high-net-worth individuals, discerning investors, and those seeking exposure to a globally diversified portfolio.

The fund is particularly appealing to investors with a high-risk tolerance profile, as it balances exposure across developed and emerging markets, offering potential for superior medium-term returns.

Returns are reinvested into the fund, allowing investors to benefit from compound growth through the accumulation of Net Asset Value (NAV). Income earned from the fund is retained and automatically reinvested, enabling continuous compounding over time, a key feature for investors aiming to grow wealth steadily.

What sets CICAM apart is its emphasis on steady capital growth and risk-adjusted performance. The company’s focus lies in identifying the relative expected returns of different asset classes; stocks, bonds, and cash to construct an optimal mix tailored for medium-term investors.

With the launch of the CIC Global Balanced Special Fund, CIC Asset Management is positioning itself as a leading player in providing globally diversified investment solutions tailored for Kenyan and regional investors. The product reflects the growing appetite among investors for offshore exposure and balanced, long-term portfolio growth.

As Kenya’s investment landscape evolves, CICAM’s move underscores the sector’s shift toward more sophisticated, globally integrated investment vehicles, combining accessibility, diversification, and active management for enhanced investor outcomes.
