I&M Bank has waived bank to mobile money wallet charges on its digital banking platform, I&M On The Go (OTG).
This move was made in response to customer feedback that suggested an opportunity to review their policies on these charges for digitally active customers.
The waiver of these charges is in line with I&M Bank’s iMara 2.0 strategy to enhance digital banking solutions to meet the needs of its customers.
The bank has become the first in Kenya to offer free transactions charges on bank to mobile money wallet charges (Mpesa and Airtel Money) after the Central Bank of Kenya reintroduced the charges in January 2023.
The changes apply to both new and existing customers and will bring relief to I&M customers during tough economic times.
I&M Bank offers mobile banking services to its customers, which include features such as account balance inquiry, funds transfer, bill payments, airtime top-up, and mini statements.
Customers can register for the service and download the mobile banking app from the App Store or Google Play.
They can then log in using their I&M Bank account details and start using the various features of the mobile banking service.
The move by I&M Bank to waive bank to mobile money wallet charges shows its commitment to enhancing its digital banking solutions and supporting its customers during these tough economic times.
