Kingdom Bank Expands Footprint with New Branch in Meru Town.

Kingdom Bank has continued its strategic expansion with the inauguration of its 22nd branch in Meru. This move highlights the bank’s commitment to enhancing its presence in key regions across Kenya, providing increased access to financial services for individuals and businesses.

Located in the bustling town of Meru, the new branch is strategically positioned to serve the financial needs of the local population, including small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), farmers, and individual customers, with a key focus on supporting the dynamic agricultural community in Meru and its surrounding areas, and helping local businesses grow and develop.

The new branch is located at the Ntima Building along Tom Mboya Street in Meru Town, and it is the third branch opened this year.

Kingdom Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Anthony Mburu, shared his excitement about the new branch opening, saying, ‘‘We are very excited to open our doors for business in the great county of Meru that is renowned for very productive agriculture and the business acumen of its people. Kingdom Bank, a subsidiary of the Co-operative Bank of Kenya since its acquisition in August 2020, is dedicated to fostering the financial growth of MSMEs in Kenya including youth and women-owned enterprises.

As of December 2023, the bank’s commitment to financial excellence was reflected in its robust performance metrics: total assets of Ksh 36.7 billion, profit before tax amounting to Ksh 1.08 billion, interest income reaching Ksh 3.7 billion, and non-interest income standing at Ksh 533.7 million.
